What is a Health and Wellness Coach?

A Health & Wellness Coach is your guide on the side. As your Health and Wellness Coach, I will support and inspire you to reach your health and wellness goals. These areas may include diet, exercise and lifestyle changes.

Whilst I am the coach, everything we do will be as a team. Together, we will discover what areas in your life you wish to change, identify your friction points and will focus on how we can make those changes happen.

We will discover which foods and lifestyle choices are serving you and how to navigate and perhaps change those that don’t.

Our main goal will be implementing health and lifestyle changes that you can sustain for the long term.

Who is a Health and Wellness Coach for?

Women who are experiencing overwhelm in their lives and have put themselves last. Any woman who's health and wellness has suffered, and they need help to make changes to experience fulfilling lives. Any woman who wants a life they can love.

How long do I need a health coach for?

My aim is to give you the tools you need to navigate your health and wellness journey. I am here to help guide you on how to look after your own health and wellness for the long-term.

My 1:1 Coaching is conducted as part of my 12-week Health Coaching Program. Initially we will agree to meet regularly for 12-weeks.

However, sometimes you may find that there are areas of health and well being that you wish to improve on further and still require my help to make these changes. Change can be hard and making new habits that serve you can take longer than you expect.

It is not unusual for people to enter another 12-week program to help implement the healthy changes you are looking for.

Will I need to follow a specific diet?

Every person is different, and I believe that bio-individuality is crucial in making long term health and wellness changes. As your Health and Wellness Coach, I will be encouraging you to eat fresh, real, whole foods that suit your body, and your lifestyle.

Optimum nutritional content is what we are aiming for. I don’t subscribe to the idea of food restriction or dieting.

We will look at your current diet and see where I can help you make nutritional lifestyle choices that support your overall health.

I do not write up meal plans as I am not a dietitian or a nutritionist. Should you require specific dietary requirements beyond my scope of practice, I will refer you to a Nutritionist or Dietitian.

How do I book a coaching session with you?

Booking in for a FREE 30-minute Assessment via video call, phone call or in-person prior to booking in for coaching. This will provide you with the opportunity to make sure I can give you what you need to achieve your health and wellness goals. In the same way, it will allow me to assess whether I can help you or not. I will honestly advise if my services will be appropriate to you or not.

If you decide to go ahead with my 12-week Coaching Program, I will send you a link via email to book a session. This booking will also include a request for payment.

Prior to our first session, I will email an online Health History form for you to fill in so I can understand your health background.

All coaching sessions are then held over Zoom or in-person, if available.

Do I have to exercise?

I absolutely believe that exercise benefits the mind and the body and helps to get those endorphins flowing, helping you to feel good. When you feel good, change is a lot easier to implement.

We just need to begin. It is important to do the type of exercise you enjoy.

For example, there is no point in going to the gym running on a treadmill when you dislike the experience. You won’t do it and that could hinder your progress.

However, running outside or walking the dog could be something you enjoy far more and are therefore more likely to sustain it long-term.

I need help to improve my health, but I am too busy! Where do I start?

Life is busy, I get it. The analogy "fill your own cup" is the first of my 5 F's values. It is vital to look after your own health and wellness needs so that you can function at your best for yourself and others. Put your own oxygen mask on first before helping others with theirs...I am a firm believer that you cannot adequately, and kindly, support your family, friends and others without being in the right place yourself. 

When you engage my help, we will identify times that you can put aside for this important work. 

Our appointments can be held via phone, video, or in-person. We will set up a regular weekly schedule, at a time that is suitable for you. Setting the time aside and booking it in ensures that we can achieve the health and wellness changes you are wanting to make.
